An unusual, experimental Anime series, FIGURE 17 combines science-fiction action with the slice-of-life schoolyard genre. Tsubasa is a shy little girl who sees a strange sight in the sky one night bionacle figure and decides to investigate. She finds a spaceship bionacle figure and its pilot, DD, who must immediately defend her from a maguar--the monstrous alien creatures DD was transporting. In the right place at the right time, Tsubasa becomes linked with a living metal that forms itself into a duplicate of her named Hikaru.
